PIETY
Ascetic or understated is an attitude of life taught by the great Prophet Muhammad and he had pointed out to us, as long as he is very humble life (ascetic), away from the luxury of always close to the faqir poor and orphans and very tolerant of all the servants of God . Word of God in the Qur'an: "O ye who believe, do not treasure, your treasure and your children divert you from the dhikr of Allah. Whoever does so then they are the ones who lose "[QS. Al Munafiqun / 63:9]. And a hadith narrated as follows: A friend came to the Prophet and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, show me a practice that surely if I was I would be loved glory of God and man". Allah's Apostle replied, "Live in the world with the ascetic (earthy) and you shall be loved of God, and do not be greedy for what is in the hands of man, surely you will be liked by humankind." [HR. Ibn Majah]. His prayer: "O Allah, make the life in poverty and wafatkan me in poor condition, and I also raised again in a group of poor people". [HR. Bukhari].
Here there is a story that illustrates what life is about as understated (ascetic), which was never delivered by scholars thareqat (TQN) at the dawn before the event Manaqib lecture.
Tersebutlah a young man, let's call it "Darsin" his name, he had long studied and Nyantri in a cottage owned by Kiyai Sobirin, a chaplain who famously humble, pious, patient and honest. Kiyai Sobirin delighted to find fish in the sea which is situated not far from where she lived. After carrying out activities at the school, he rushed off the sea to catch fish using a boat small or so-called jungkung, always catch a lot and large, these fish are not taken to the fish auction that are around the coast but most distributed to neighbors and some side dishes to eat the santrinya, he took to himself only two or three pieces and even then the head, this sort of thing he did every day. Darsin always pay attention to the behavior of these Sobirin Kiyai, "how zuhudnya my teacher, painstakingly every day looking for fish but he was only a few enjoy the results, he was more pleased to distribute to neighbors and the students" he said to himself.
Of his admiration was finally Darsin want to look for tau where he learned that having a very humble attitude (ascetic) and very generous. So one day Darsin ventured to ask: "Sir chaplain, where are you studying, so you have a very commendable attitude". Answer Kiyai Sobirin "I learned to Mr shaikh, a scholar thareqat highly qualified, where he lived far from here, he lived on the slopes of a mountain, for the journey to get there takes about a week". Hearing the teacher's explanation Darsin increasingly want to come to the place Mr. shaikh and gain knowledge dariya: "Had pack chaplain permit, may I see the teacher sir, I want to learn him" the petition. Sobirin Kiyai gladly allow his students that "It may ... be ... please meet him and learn from you to him, if you are diligent and submissive to him you would have succeeded".
After preparation, including preparing food for the journey, then excused himself and beg Darsin blessing to his teacher. "Do not forget my best regards to Mr. Teacher" said Kiyai Sobirin. With determination and enthusiasm for learning was unanimous fiery kemuian Darsin headed for the place where his teacher had studied with the foot, in his mind there is only one that is seeking knowledge on Mr. shaikh.
All day he walked, when the sun began to disappear in the west he sought a place to simply unwind with a night and lay down to sleep. Kemuian after dawn the next morning he began again to walk down the village street, the rice field, fields, and along the path in the jungle, the area is still foreign to him, so often times he is free to decide which path he should go through when you meet the road intersection.
