A poor boy who lives with her mother is known to be very pious, interrupted his busy making a living as herders of livestock (camels and sheep) belong to someone else he was not negligent in taking care of his mother. For there is no longer owned by relatives and from childhood he had been orphaned. The only family he had was his mother was old and suffering from blindness and deafness.

Wages he received from herding cattle just enough for living with his mother, when there is excess often he gave to neighbors in need. Therefore, even though he was a poor boy but very loved and respected by his neighbors.

Islamic teachings to educate and teach the moral sublime, in a relatively short time gained the sympathy and had practiced quite a lot in the land of Yemen. Similarly, the Uwais Al-Qorni, he has come to know and practice the teachings diligently. The story of the Prophet often he heard from the neighbors who have been to Medina. At that time many Yemenis who have been to Medina to meet the Holy Prophet, they want to receive teachings directly from him saw, which then will they spread widely disseminated after his return in Affairs.

When Uwais Al-Qorni heard news of the battle of Uhud, the Prophet Muhammad have caused injury because of thrown stones and broken teeth, then immediately he menggetok his teeth with a stone to break. Thus the love of Uwais Al Qorni to Rasululloh saw.

Encouragement of love and longing Uwais Al-Qorni against the Prophet made him want to travel to Medina to menemuainya. "When I can religious visit to the Prophet Muhammad and his face looked up close" according to his conscience. But on the other hand he could not leave her for granted. This makes him restless, his mind day and night filled with longing look at the face of the Prophet. Until one day he came up to her mother and convey his heart about the longing to meet the Holy Prophet, and begged to be allowed to leave religious visit to the Prophet Muhammad in Medina.

Son's touching to hear the petition that he, his excuse was: "Go, O Uwais anaku, see the Prophet in his house, and had met her when you return home immediately." Listening to her mother that allows to go, Uwais very happy heart. Then immediately he needs his mother to pack and prepare to be left behind, as he sends to some nearby neighbors in order to accompany his mother while he was gone.

After kissing her mother goodbye and then he went to Medina. The journey he traveled on foot through the hills and the vast desert, with a very harsh nature and many disorders, ranging from the rogues - the desert heat during the day was a sea of ​​fire by night was piercing cold to the bone. However this is not felt as a strong willingness to meet and see the face of the Prophet who has been loved and missed.

Not told how long the journey that he traveled. Arriving in Medina Uwais Al-Qorni immediately looking for a house of Prophet Muhammad. And to find the home of the Prophet is not a difficult job. Once in front of the door of the Prophet he said "greetings" to the solemn and respectful, because there is no immediate answer from the house was empty then repeat the greeting Uwais up several times. After waiting a while before there is an answer from a woman "wa'alaikum greet" with the woman rushed toward the door to meet Uwais. In front of her, with great respect Uwais tell their origins and to the point. The woman, who turns out to Siti Aishah ra explains that the prophet who would like nothing is being met at home and who knows until when he returned. Siti Aishah ra hearing the Uwais Al-Qorni paused for a moment, his heart waver "between the arrival of the Prophet wanted to wait to get home or back to his mother". Uwais not one to be swayed by doubt, a sense of responsibility to his mother who is so great, then he preferred to return. So with decorum he quickly excused himself to Sitti Ayesha ra to go back to Yemen, he just left a greeting to the Prophet Muhammad loved so much.

Once the Prophet came back and was in his house, he saw to ask people who seek it. A'ishah then Sitti also said about the arrival of a young man from the country of Yemen who want to meet with the Prophet, but the young man is not willing to wait till the Prophet returned because he could not stay long to leave his mother. The prophet describes the Uwais Al Qorni to his friend: "He is of heaven when you see it, notice it has a white mark in the middle of the palm of his hand". Then the Prophet looked to Ali and Umar ra ra and said: "One time, when you see it, ask for prayer and istighfarnya "----
